Shirley Ann Grinchuk

July 17, 1941 — December 6, 2018

Shirley Ann Grinchuk, 77, of Natrona Heights, passed away Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018, at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born July 17, 1941, in Rural Valley, Armstrong County, to the late Stanley Kaplin and Pearl (Schall) Kaplin, of Bofinger. Shirley lived the past 20 years in Natrona Heights, and prior to that, Brackenridge. She was a homemaker and also was employed in Washington, D.C., for the CIA. Shirley was a member of First Church of God, Brackenridge. She graduated in 1959 from Shannock Valley High School, Armstrong County, and flight attendant school in Minnesota. Shirley enjoyed playing cards, bowling and camping. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, children and grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Darren Alexander (Jennifer) Grinchuk, of Natrona Heights, and Sue Ann (Fred) Sala, of Pittsburgh; and grandchildren, whom she loved, Freddie, Chelsea, Tori, Melissa and Sydney. Also surviving are her brothers, Alfred Kaplin, of Hershey, and Kent Sigler, of Rural Valley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Grinchuk, in 2012; and a brother, Darrell Kaplin. 
Private family visitation was held Saturday in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME INC., 347 E. 10th Ave., Tarentum, 724-224-1526, and burial was in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
