Shirley A. Vorp

Shirley A. Vorp, 73, of Buffalo Township, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born February 4, 1945 in Harrison Township to the late Andrew and Mary (Marinas) Lasko. Shirley lived the past 45 years in Buffalo Township where she was a homemaker and also was a merchandiser for American Greeting Cards for many years. She was a member of New Life Church, Saxonburg and a 1962 graduate of Har Brack High School. Shirley enjoyed crocheting, quilting, travelling, animals and especially her dogs. Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family, children and her grandchildren.

            Survivors include her children, Sherry A. (David) Fredley, Buffalo Twp., Mark A. (Angela) Vorp, Gilpin Twp., Thomas Vorp, Tarentum and Pamela (Paul) France, Natrona Heights; grandchildren Josh, Jessica, David, Tyler, Zachary and Michael and great grandson Barry. Also surviving is a brother Andrew (Sandy) Lasko, Hubert, NC. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas R. Vorp May 13, 2018 and a step mother Vallie Q. Lasko.

            Visitation Saturday from 3PM until the time of service at 6 PM in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 with Pastor Chris E. Marshall, officiating. Burial will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Twp. Family suggests contributions to New Life Church, Saxonburg. VISIT: dusterfh.com
