Stanley Iwanski, 98, formerly of Natrona and Cleveland, OH, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018, at Bayberry Place, Lower Burrell. He was born May 18, 1920, in Natrona, to the late Walter and Stella (Zbrzny) Iwanski. Stanley lived in Cleveland for 35 years and rest of life in the Natrona area. He was an Hospital Administrator at St. Vincent Charity Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio for 35 years. Stanley was a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, serving in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He was a member of St. Ladislaus Church, Natrona and a founding member of Saxonburg Artist Association. Stanley graduated in 1938 from Har Brack High school and St. Louis University. He was well known in the area as a water color artist. Stanley enjoyed travelling, especially going on cruises.
Survivors include his sister Carol Dymkoski, Natrona, nieces and nephews Laurie (Ted) Kevana, East Deer Twp., Edward J. (Kathy) Hyp, North Huntingdon Twp., Todd Szydlik, Smithfield, VA, David (Diane) Szydlik, Double Oak, TX , Pam (Alan) Koprivnikar, Springdale, Dawn (Paul) Beam, Natrona Heights and Mark (Christine) Dymkoski, Natrona Heights. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Leonard and Edward H. Iwanski and Henry and Donald Sydlik and sisters Mary Olszawski, Kaye Hyp and Betty Christy Toth.
Visitation Monday 10am until 11:30 am in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526, followed by a Christian funeral mass at 12 Noon in St. Ladislaus Church, Natrona. Burial in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. Family suggests contributions to St. Joseph High School, Montana Ave, Natrona Heights. VISIT: dusterfh.com
