Sunny Joy Gould, 68, of Natrona Heights passed away at her home on August 16, 2024. She was born October 17, 1955 in Camp LaJuene, North Carolina to the late Harry Redmond and Charlotte Woods. She was a 1973 graduate of Highlands High School. Sunny worked as a server at Hometown Restaurant in Tarentum, and also worked in the Highlands High School cafeteria. Furthermore, she volunteered as a Skills U.S.A. Advisor at the Indiana Company Tech Center, and was a long time member of the Jidnota and Tarentum Eagles. In her free time Sunny enjoyed crocheting, casino visits, and laughing at her husband, Jim. She had the “gift of gab”, and was Barry Manilow’s #1 fan.
Sunny is survived by her husband of 50 years James S. Gould of Natrona Heights, her daughters; Erin (Rico) Killingsworth and Shannon Hammond of Louisville, Kentucky, Sara A. Gould of Natrona Heights, and Amy B. (Wes) Palmer of Sellersburg, Indiana, her sons; James C. (Hiedi) Gould of Boston, Massachusetts, Matthew J. Gould of Tarentum, and Mark E. Gould of Louisville, Kentucky. She is also survived by a brother, Chris Redmond of Springdale, as well as 17 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Sunny was preceded in death by her sister Cindy Logut, and brother Tim Redmond.
A visitation will be held Monday, August 19 from 3-7 PM in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 where services will be conducted at 7 PM with Reverend Faith Gravitt officiating. A private family burial will be held at Concord Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Wayne Township, Armstrong County. VISIT: dusterfh.com
