Thomas R. Buhl, Sr., 91, Plum Boro, formerly of Buffalo Twp., passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 in the E.R. of Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. He was born June 23, 1926 in Pittsburgh to the late Joseph and Mary (Heidelmeier) Buhl. Thomas has lived in Plum Boro the past 15 years and prior to that Murrysville and Buffalo Twp. He was the District Manager for Singer Sewing Machine Co. in Western PA and Ohio for 35 years. Thomas was a WWII veteran serving in the Army Air Corps. Member of Our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights and Plum Boro American Legion. He graduated from Plum Boro High School in 1943 and was an avid bowler and enjoyed golfing and fishing.
Survivors include his children Karen E. (Gary E.) Kipp, Fawn Twp., Thomas R. (Debra) Buhl, Jr., North Apollo, Twin Sons, Dr. Keith J. (Jillian) Buhl, Philadelphia and Kevin G. (Umiko) Buhl. Joshua, TX; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Also surviving is Brother Jerry (Irene) Buhl, Sebastian, FL and a loving companion of 18 years Mary M. Smith of Plum Boro. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth A. (Ball) Buhl, May 26, 1997 and a brother Harold Buhl.
Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian Funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 AM in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights. Burial in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell with Military Honors.
