Vera Miller

     Vera Miller, 94 of Natrona Heights, passed away Monday, September 10, 2018 at Platinum Ridge Nursing Home, Brackenridge.  She was born November 4, 1923 in Tarentum to the late John and (Suzanna) (Kastiel) Shagat.  Vera lived the past 44 years in Natrona Heights and prior to that Tarentum.  She was a homemaker and a member of former St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brackenridge.  Vera graduated in 1941 from Tarentum High School.  She enjoyed cooking, baking, crossword puzzles, working outdoors in her yard, and always helped people who were in need. 

     Survivors include her children Susan M. (August) Gilleskie, Robinson Twp., and Edward B. Miller, Natrona Heights.

     Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept 12  in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 East 10^th Avenue, Tarentum 15084 724-224-1526  with Rev. Barbara A. Ravenstahl, Pastor of Faith Lutheran Church, Natrona Heights. Private burial in Mt. Airy Cemetery.
