Vincent A. Bachar

Vincent A. Bachar, 75, of Allegheny Township, passed away Monday, January 10, 2022 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born January 19, 1946 in Harrison Township, a son of the late Vincent J. and Vera (Yaras) Bachar. Vincent lived most of his life in Allegheny Township. He worked as an engineer in the Construction industry for the past 50 years and most recently for Michael Baker International.  Vincent was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Freeport, Knights of Columbus, Natrona, Syria Shrine, Shrine HARIGE Unit (Officer Murfy), and the Pollock Lodge 502. He was a 1963 graduate of Har Brack High School. Vincent loved his animals and bred Westies at one time.

            Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Elizabeth A. “Betty” (Irwin) Bachar; his sons, Brian A. (Lisa) Bachar, of Baltimore, MD, Scott (Sharon) Bachar, of Export and Jeffrey R. (Dori) Bachar, of Allegheny Township; grandchildren Christopher (Katie) Bachar, John Bachar, Ryan Bachar, Madison Bachar, Austin Bachar and Mallory Bachar and two great grandchildren Elliot and Owen. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his buddy Fergus.

            Visitation 5-7 PM Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 5-7PM in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10^th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Christian funeral mass will be Saturday at 10 AM in St Mary’s Church, Freeport with Monsignor Gilbert Gente, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. Knights of Columbus will hold services  in the funeral home Friday at 3:00 PM  and the Masonic Lodge will have services Friday at 6PM.
