Walter C. Keller,Sr. 68, of Natrona Heights, passed away at home Saturday, July 24, 2021after being ill since 2019. He was born October 25, 1952 in Natrona Heights to the late Walter L. and Hilda (Ogborne) Keller. Walter lived his entire life in the AK Valley and was employed at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Environmental Services for 22 years and also worked at Mitchel Plastics in Indianola for a number of years. He served in the US Army for 3 years and was of the Methodist faith. Walter graduated from Highlands High School in 1970 and enjoyed watching sports on TV and oldies songs.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years Joni L. (Brake) Keller; his children Sheri L. (Thomas) Dickey, of Tarentum, Melissa J. Keller, of Sheffield and Walter C. Keller,Jr. and companion Ashley Smith, of Natrona Heights. Grandchildren Alison Keller, Andrew Smythe, Walter N. Keller and great granddaughter Adalynn Keller. Also surviving are his sisters, Martha Keller and Marjorie (Frank) Penchak, both of Natrona Heights and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Thomas Keller, and sisters Delphine Lang and Elsie Sinchak.
Visitation Tuesday 2-4 PM and 6PM until the time of service at 7PM in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 with Rev. Eric Damon, Pastor Faith Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be private in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. VISIT: dusterfh.com
