Ward K. Wilcox, 90, of Tarentum, passed away Thursday, June 07, 2018 at Applewood Personal Care Home. He was born on April 1, 1928 in Tarentum to the late Calvin Ward Jr. and Mary Wilcox, where he lived his entire life. He was a Union Carpenter at the former Local 333. Ward was a veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean Era. He was a member of the Tarentum VFW, Brackenridge American Legion and was a graduate of Tarentum High School. Ward enjoyed going to the Flea Market, tinkering with cars and wood working. Survivors include his children Calvin W. (Amanda) Wilcox, New Kensington, Robert K. Wilcox and Deanna Cousineau, Tarentum, Mary Winona Wilcox, and granddaughter Krista L. Wilcox, Lower Burrell.Also his beloved cat Snoop. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Shirley J. (Fox) Wilcox in December 2017, sisters, Lorraine Clark, Sylvia Kammerdiemer, and Winona Klemens. Private family visitation was held Friday 11 AM until the time of Service at 12 Noon in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave., Tarentum, 724-224-1526 with Rev. Robert B. Walker officiating.
