William H. Bigley, Jr.

William H. Bigley, Jr., 97, of Fawn Township, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Butler Veterans Affairs. He was born August 12, 1928 in Sewickley to the late William H. and Frances (Engle) Bigley, Sr. William has lived in Fawn Twp. since 1945 and prior to that Springdale Township. He was an owner/operator of his farm for 40 years. William graduated from Aspinwall High School in 1946, and the University of Pittsburgh and graduated from Penn State with honors.

He was a Fighter Pilot and 1st Lieutenant in the US Air Force serving in the Korean era.

Survivors include his sister, Nancy Bigley, of Beaver Creek, OH; nieces Rebecca (Sam) Andrew, of Fawn Twp., Melissa Means, of Gaithersburg, MD and Patricia (Jeffrey) Spracklen, of Zenia, OH. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Margaret Means and brother-in-law Samuel Means.
