William J. Fike

 William J. Fike, 82, of Springdale Township, passed away at Indian Haven Nursing Home on Friday, July 12, 2024 following a brief illness. He was born April 30, 1942 in Pittsburgh to the late Vernon and Blanche(Margarlis) Fike. William lived most of his life in Springdale Township, working as an electrician for U.S. Steel in Homestead for 24 years and Highland School District for 20 years, and also worked as a baker for 15 years in Foxchapel. He was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Most Blessed Sacrament Campus in Natrona Heights. William graduated from Hampton High School in 1960 and went on to attend electrician school. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, collecting model trains, but most of all loved spending time with his family.

 Survivors include his daughters Lynda J. (Stanley) Zalus of Saltsburg, Carol (Mark) Simoni of New Kensington, Gail Fike of New Kensington, Patricia Fike of Clarion; Sons William (DeeAnn) Fike of Westchester, VA, William Ondrako of Homestead; daughter Deena Ondrako of Homestead; Stepdaughters Yvette Kotchey of Sarver, Tasha A. Thomas of Natrona Heights, Bobbie Jo Schall of Indiana, and 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his two wives, Carol B. Fike and Caroline A. Fike as well as his sister Janet Miller.

 Visitation will be Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. A Christian funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday 10 AM at Most Blessed Sacrament Campus, Natrona Heights. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. VISIT: dusterfh.com
