William J. McCafferty

William J. McCafferty, 63, of Fawn Township, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024 at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital, Pittsburgh following a lengthy illness. He was born December 6, 1960 in Harrison Twp. son of William E. McCafferty, of Fawn Twp. and the late Grayce (Hosack) McCafferty. William lived most of his life in Fawn Twp. and was of the Methodist Faith. He was self-employed as an Automotive machinist and owned McCafferty Automotive. William was a Boy Scout and Cub Scout leader for Troop 396 in Fawn Township. He graduated from Highlands High School in 1978 and attended the University of Pittsburgh for 3 years. William enjoyed fishing, Lernerville races and was Uncle Fester for the Shadows Haunted attraction, Fawn Twp. 

            Besides his father, William is survived by his wife of 30 years, Ethel M. (Shoop) McCafferty and his children Grayce F. McCafferty, at home and William C. “Will” McCafferty and fiancé Artalee Breegle, of Butler.
