William D. Simmons

William D. Simmons, 74, of Arnold, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Quality Life Services, Worthington. He was born November 5, 1949 in Harrison Township to the late John and Helen (Park) Simmons. William lived most of his life in Brackenridge and was a laborer for PPG Industries in Creighton for over 20 years. He was of the Protestant faith and a 1967 graduate of Har Brack High School. William was a mechanic and handy man who enjoyed riding motorcycles and was an avid Steeler fan. 

            Survivors include his son Nathan D. “Derick” Simmons, of Jeffersonville, IN; granddaughter Meridian D. Smith, of Columbus, OH. Also surviving are his sisters Joyce R. “Sizzy” Ballard and Valda A. Woody, both of Natrona Heights and several nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Fred E. Simmons. 

            Visitation Thursday from 9 AM until the time of service at 11 AM in Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 with Rev. Antoinette Perkins, officiating. Burial will be private in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. VISIT: dusterfh.com
