William Bricker Sims, 87, of Natrona Heights, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Platinum Ridge Rehabilitation Center, Brackenridge. He was born October 20, 1934 in Tarentum to the late Ralph and Dora Sims, Sr. William lived most of his life in Tarentum. He retired from the USPS in Tarentum and was a life member of Highland Hose. He was also a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Natrona Heights. William was a veteran of the Korean era serving in the US Marine Corp.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years Patricia (McCurdy) Sims; daughter Paula (Eric) Fleming, of Natrona Heights; his grandson best friend, Pal and Buddy Brendan; step grandchildren Devin McElefresh, Lynze Cosgrove; step great grandchildren Bella, Alice, Ivy, Tallen and Levi. Also surviving are his siblings Robert Sims, of Tarentum, Eileen Geahry and Carol Licata and several nieces and nephews. In addition, there were several he considered his children; David and Eli Lott who called him Pap Pap Bill. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings Ralph Jr., Richard, James, and infant brother Wayne Sims, sisters, Constance Baker, Audrey Wilson and Betty Jane Boda.
Visitation Wednesday 1-4 PM and 5-8 PM in the Duster Funeral Home Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Marine Corp League will hold services Wed at 6PM followed by services at 7PM by Highland Hose. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 11AM. VISIT: dusterfh.com
