Wilma J. "Billie" Conroy

Wilma J. “Billie” Conroy, 80 of Brackenridge passed away Friday, Sept 19, 2025 at her home. She was born March 29, 1945 in Wilkinsburg, a daughter of the late Donald B. & Roberta (Hall) Deming.

Billie lived in Brackenridge the past 20 yrs and was a Certified Nurse Assistant for over 40 yrs in North Bessemer, Nashville ,Pa. and Brackenridge. She was of the Presbyterian Faith, and a social member of the former Tarentum VFW, and Tarentum Eagles, as well as the Brackenridge American Legion. Billie was an avid reader, sports fan, enjoyed cooking, loved her cats ,but especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Her survivors include seven children; Gail (Jason Houck) Taglieri, New Kensington, Kenneth (Deborah) Eckenrode, Jr. ,Richmond, VA, Patty Hammett, Pittsburgh, Timothy (Donna) Eckenrode, Indiana, Pa., Eddy (Laurie) Eckenrode, West Deer, Mary Jane Beaty, WA, Billie Jo ( Tony) Slone, Sapulpa, OK, 20 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and one on the way; and her sister, Donna Orient of Natrona Heights. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas J. Conroy in 2009, 2 grandchildren, J.J. Beaty, and Kristi Lynn, as well as 3 Sisters, Betty Kestner, Dea Webster ,and her twin sister Roberta Dercqu.
