Wilma Kolar, 98, formerly of Brackenridge and currently in Concordia Lutheran Ministries, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. She was born February 2, 1920 in Braeburn to the late John and Suzanna (Brbenik) Knasko. Wilma lived most of her life in Brackenridge where she was a homemaker. She was former member St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brackenridge. Wilma was very active in her church and was a member of the Altar Guild. She enjoyed baking, reading and puzzles. Wilma especially enjoyed her family, children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter Barbara (William) Hohos, West Leechburg and Timothy M. (Maureen) Kolar, Brackenridge also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Stephen Kolar in 1997; 2 sons Stephen J. and William B. Kolar, great grandson Joshua Kolar; 3 brothers John, George and Bernard “Ben” Knasko and 2 sisters Anna Grondwalski and Amelia Comperatore.
Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526 where services will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM with Rev. Jerome E. Panzigrau, officiating.
