Zelma Willivene “Willie” Brozenich, 96, of Natrona Heights, passed away at home Sunday, April 29, 2018 after being ill the past year. She was born March 26, 1922 in Sagamore, PA to the late George W. and Ruby M. (Rairigh) Keys. Willie lived her entire life in Tarentum and Natrona Heights. She was a homemaker and also worked as a grinder at the mill in Brackenridge during WWII and was a Supervisor for 19 years at Horne’s Dept. store in the Heights Plaza. Willie was a lifetime member of Faith Lutheran Church, Natrona Heights and a proud honor roll graduate of Tarentum High School Class of 1940 and served on all of the reunion committees. Her greatest enjoyment in life came from her 52 year marriage to the late Edward “Toots” Brozenich and her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Willie enjoyed crocheting, music, the Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers. She won international awards for her afghan designs. Willie was completely devoted to her family.
Survivors include her children, Kerry Brozenich, Natrona Heights and Gary (Jane) Brozenich, Eustes, FL; grandchildren Kelly Drum, Pittsburgh, Shawn (Tim) Petrak, Leechburg, Shannon (Scott) Pesci, Brackenridge, Edward (Wendy) Mathews, Lower Burrell and Gary (Katherine Lodge) Brozenich, England; 19 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded by her husband Edward “Toots” Brozenich; siblings Ralph Keys, Winifred Fish and Dorothy Fink.
Visitation 4-8 PM Wednesday in the Duster Funeral Home, Inc. 347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, 724-224-1526. Services will be held on Thursday at 10 AM in Faith Lutheran Church, Natrona Heights with Rev. Kirk Bish, officiating. Burial in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. Visit: dusterffh.com
